The Client
Ashley Furniture, one of North America’s largest furniture retailers, needed a pillow merchandising system that could be implemented across its corporate stores and independent dealer network.
With showrooms differing in size, layout, and product assortment, the challenge was to develop a unified retail presentation that could adapt to individual store needs without compromising brand consistency.
From Sketch To Final Concept
The project began with hand-drawn concepts exploring the display’s distinctive curved dividers, adjustable shelving, and overall structure.
Through design development and visualization, these initial ideas evolved into detailed renderings that refined the display’s appearance, functionality, and merchandising capabilities before production.
The Project
MJE designed and produced a modular pillow display system that combined visual appeal, merchandising flexibility, and practical functionality.
Five configurations were developed to accommodate different showroom footprints, from compact displays for smaller spaces to larger installations showcasing expanded pillow and bedding assortments.
The system featured adjustable shelving to accommodate changing product selections, distinctive curved dividers, and high-impact graphics to enhance product visibility. Together, these elements created an organized, inviting presentation that could be adapted to different bedding brands while maintaining a cohesive look across locations.
